Thank you

Before Uncle Dave moved to Liverpool he used to pop round to see us, every now and then, but always on a Saturday. I loved seeing him and not just for the can of coke and sweets he used to bring in a brown paper bag for us each.

I think he even got hold of Uncle Mick’s talc powder pipe too, which we loved trying to work out how he never got any talc on him.

I’m grateful and cherish these memories.

I’m pretty sure too that Uncle Dave bought me my first dartboard and darts. I was too young at the time to play - I got told off for putting a few darts into the cupboard door! - but I couldn’t wait for the day to be able to play. As it turned out, I love playing sarts and was playing darts for the local pub team when I was 15. I even got to meet and play against Peter Manley and Rod Harrington. Quite likely none of which would have happened without Uncle Dave’s influence.

These are just a few happy memories.

Thank you Uncle Dave for all the memories, your love and the sweets.

Love Steve
